We are thrilled to announce Darrin Jamieson has joined Pathways Executive Search (Pathways) as a Partner, operating from Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island and Six Nations of the Grand River, Ontario. A strategic, values-driven professional who is rooted in Haudenosaunee culture, Darrin is dedicated to rebuilding, restoring, and revitalizing Indigenous peoples and societies toward a modern-day expression of vibrancy and economic prosperity.
“Haudenosaunee values are rooted in sharing, and always putting the needs of the collective over my own. What we do in the present requires that we respect the past in putting our best foot forward now, for all to prosper in the future,” says Darrin.
“Darrin’s approach is consistent across business and community initiatives,” says Laurie Sterritt, Pathways’ Managing Partner. “Through his values, Darrin has proven that we can bring Indigenous knowledge and ways of being into a formal business setting to make improvements. He has shown that creating a respectful work environment and caring about people are equally important to the bottom line.”
Darrin’s track record of leadership exemplifies this commitment. As CEO of several First Nation governments over the past decade, Darrin has supported Chiefs, Councils and Indigenous business owners to create operational structures, systems and teams to assert self-government and self-sufficiency. He has developed more than 150 business, institutional, and community plans in all sectors, creating a sustainable economic impact valued at more than CAD$300M per annum.
“Darrin’s experience working with businesses and governments across the country will bring great value to Pathways’ team and our clients,” says Mike Eager, Pathways’ Ottawa-based Partner. “With his keen eye for operational efficiency, and many years’ experience working closely with clients on their reconciliation journeys, Darrin is a welcome addition to the Pathways’ leadership team.”
“I am excited to join Pathways as the organization establishes its brand and reputation supporting Indigenous and non-Indigenous clients to identify talent and fulfill their commitments to reconciliation,” adds Darrin. “I’ve worked with members of this team for several years in various ways and trust and respect their work and approach. I look forward to playing my part to increase diversity, equity, and inclusion in workplaces and boardrooms everywhere.”
